The Malawi nation senior team today started camping in preparations for COSAFA Challenge cup and Africa Cup of Nations that are expected to be commenced in October and November
However, Flames preparations can be dismayed as two flames’ players and two officials have been put in Isolation room after being identified as COVID 19 pandemic positive.
According to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) press statement released today, state that the Flames’ players and Officials went on COVID 19 pandemic test before going on the ground.
The result shows that all the players and officials have been tested COVID 19 negative except four members of the teams are on awaiting for ten days after being tested positive. These people are expected to rejoin their friends after ten days when the results will be negative.
The Malawi has gone in Camp today after the declaration of Presidential COVID 19 pandemic task force for the Flames to start its preparations for COSAFA and African Cup of Nation that will start on November 5, 2020. Malawi will be home and away game with Burkina Faso on 13 and 17 November.
According to FIFA calendar declared that nations cups to be started on October 5, 2020 and Coach Make Mwase is eyeing to the friendly games with Zambia and Zimbabwe teams before it will be pounding with Burkina Faso in November.
